With approximately 60.000 inhabitants and 1.100 employers, the Lavant valley constitutes one of the most important economic regions in Carinthia. National and international investors are increasingly operating within the region valley of the river ‘Lavant’, finding here an attractive position for their business.

However, the Lavant valley, also known as ‘the paradise of Carinthia’, is a region with unspoilt nature and a high quality of living. To underline this fact is the huge quantity of guests who come every year to enjoy nature and the various free-time activities as well as the cultural and culinary varieties while spending their holidays in the Lavant valley. This valley is an example how ecology and economy don’t necessarily exclude each another but instead complete and fulfil each others’ purposes in order to create life conditions which are in everybody’s interest.

The industrial and trade area St. Andrä SOUTH (IGZ) is promoted by its ideal geographic position between the conurbation Klagenfurt and Graz.

The vicinity to the border of Slovenia, a large availability of qualified professionals, and an attractive situation of promotion and sponsoring make this area a perfect starting point for any kind of business.
