The Eldorado
of leisure for the whole family in the Lavant valley
The leisure park ‘lake of St. Andrä’ is situated only 5km from the city of
St. Andrä, surrounded by the river ‘Lavant’ and its bicycle lanes. This
quarry pond, supplied with ground water, has been incorporated into the
landscape respecting all ecological aspects of nature and under strict
environmental conditions. A third of the water surface has been turned into
a biotope (an aquarium that is set-up to simulate a natural habitat) in
order to guarantee the water purification. A large part of the old trees
have been preserved.
The heart of the park, inaugurated in 1990, is
the big swimming lake (3,5 ha) with its diving platform, water slides and
area for non-swimmers.
For our young guests the park offers a bouncy castle and slides.
The leisure park ‘lake of St. Andrä’ also offers a tavern by the sea, a big
terrace on the lake - ideal for parties and cultural events - a big
playground for children, miniature golf with 18 lanes, a court for beach
volley and a set of chess.
